We just finished helping at AAPA 2019 in Denver, Colorado.  It was a fun time with over 500 learners being taught by excellent faculty.  In this post we talk about the benefits of workshop style courses as well as full courses such as the upcoming Critical Access 2019.
AAPA 2019 was fun because there were focused workshops that spent a couple of hours on a few skills and made learners become proficient at the basics so that they could incorporate what they learned in their next shift.  This style of learning is excellent for those that are just starting to get into ultrasound and want to only focus on a couple of things.  Additionally, the price point is very low since the workshop is only a couple of hours at length.  Practical POCUS also teaches such workshops just as they helped at AAPA 2019.

As mentioned at the beginning, Critical Access 2019 is unique and there are some key highlights for why to attend.  Here are 10 highlights that Practical POCUS focused on for why people should attend their upcoming course.
  1. Entirely taught on pocket ultrasound machines.
  2. Lower cost course compared to our competitors with more hours of training and CME credits.
  3. Big price savings compared to similar courses especially with purchase of a device for the course.
  4. Beat the line on waiting to get some of the most popular ultrasound machines in the industry.
  5. Ability to attend the course even if you do not have your own pocket ultrasound yet (and purchase on site if you like it).
  6. Course focused on primarily small group and hands-on teaching time.
  7. Long-term support to help you through your first year after the course (invest in your future and not just one class).
  8. Variety of topics and discussions that benefit clinicians in various environments especially those in rural, remote, or critical access settings.
  9. Teaching by excellent and personable faculty from across the country.
  10. Family-friendly venue (Ozark Outdoors) that offers a variety of activities both on-site and in the surrounding area.
