Another year is in the books.  We appreciate you reading the blog and listening to the podcast.  This post is devoted to wrapping up the year.
This year we started a couple of new series.  We started the year off with a series on implementing ultrasound which was done with members of SPOCUS.  Patrick Bafuma kicked off the EM ID podcast series to cover infectious disease issues for emergency medicine.  We started doing monthly podcasts that cover point of care ultrasound (POCUS) in some form.  Most recently, we began the EB Medicine series which covers publications from the medical education company.

We managed to travel across the country in multiple speaking engagements.  Our goal is to be involved in even more speaking engagements next year.

As an important aside, our partner Practical POCUS has been making great strides in ultrasound education this year.  There has been a class at least every month and usually multiple times in a month.  If you are wanting to start using or enhance your use of bedside ultrasound, check out their courses.  This has become available internationally and next year will be welcoming some new additions.
  • Liveonline courses with the next one being on February 17th, 2020.
  • A new online course that will be taught asynchronously (on demand) and will be available early 2020.
  • Live in-person events including a new addition, POCUS at the Zoo.  This will be at the very family friendly St. Louis Zoo June 7-9, 2020.  More live courses will be announced in the future.

An important reminder but we are always looking for help.  If you have an idea for a post or want to get involved with blogging and/or podcasting, reach out to us.  We would be happy to help you.

We hope that you have a safe and happy New Year.  We know we will continue to strive for excellence and spreading emergency medicine knowledge.

Let us know what you think by giving us feedback here in the comments section or contacting us on Twitter or Facebook.  Remember to look us up on Libsyn and on iTunes.  If you have any questions you can also comment below, email at [email protected], or send a message from the page.  We hope to talk to everyone again soon.  Until then, continue to provide total care everywhere.
