This is a project that has been in the works for a long time.  We have finally been able to coordinate and introduce a new podcast series covering ATLS.  This is only the beginning.
The podcast series will be with Chip Lange and Mike Sharma as they cover the various chapters and topics that ATLS covers.  The goal: to help those reading and listening become better at trauma care and to act as a study guide for an ATLS course.

In this podcast we introduce Mike Sharma who will help us through our ATLS journey.  We also talk about the origins of ATLS, why it is important, how to get into a course, and what our goals will be moving forward.  It took a couple of years to get here, but Mike is ready to dive in and provide this amazing content.

I am taking my first ATLS class at St. Joseph's in PHX on August 19 & 20. I am studying hard so I am sure to NOT be that PA-C, NRP in the class that did not do well!

I have been working in medicine mostly over the past several years with little or no trauma. Due to may past work history I have the opportunity to teach TCCC, and PHTLS mostly in a military setting. I am hoping that ATLS will a). Improve my knowledge base in regards to what will happen to the patient after the "hand off" and b). in hopes of landing a PA-C and/or NRP opportunity with private security OCONUS before I get too old to do that sort of thing!

Thank you for putting this together. Any chance you can record all 13 chapters before August 19!? LOL I have enjoyed the first two and find them informative as a supplement to reading the text.

Be Safe,

Joe Hamilton, PA-C, NRP
