Minh Le Cong is known worldwide especially on Twitter and his PHARM website. On August 16, 2016 he agreed to get on Skype and discuss ketamine in detail with me. Although we lost some of the original audio due to a mistake on my end, we still recorded approximately one hour's worth of audio. Due to the length, we are breaking up the discussion into two separate podcasts. The second one will come out next week. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the conversation.
Here is a table about ketamine that helps summarize some of the key facts and doses. I have this hanging up in my department to provide some information to our providers and students. As you can see, this came from Propofology and all credit goes to them.
We plan on talking about the POKER trial, but it will be awhile before we tackle that topic. Fortunately, REBEL EM has already tackled the subject. Feel free to read the paper on the Annals of Emergency Medicine site (you can also listen to them on iTunes Podcasts) and read the blog post. If you are interested in our interpretation as a detailed review, let us know.
If you would like to be a guest on our show, let us know by contacting us on the site or sending us a message via Twitter or Facebook. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org directly. Until then, continue to provide total care everywhere.
